Protein at night...keep some fresh cut deli-meat in the fridge...drink a low-carb protein shake...It won't take much to kill the hunger...If i eat a few slices of turkey breast with water...10 minutes later I feel full.

Your diet sounds pretty strict, so I don't know if this will help.
Try slicing a bagel in half, toasting it and put a thin layer of peanut butter. Crackers, cheese and sliced apple is a good one if you can have cheese.

Also, if you are hungry an hour and a half after dinner, maybe you should increase the size of that meal.

For a healthy snack try Kroger carbmaster yogurt. Low carb, low fat, lots of protein. 39 cents per unit.

I'm feeling fairly good on the diet. Still have the craving at night for the junk foods sweets etc. But I really don't want to go on blood pressure meds so if loosing weight lowers my BP...than it is worth it. I need to lose weiight for sure anyway.

are you exercising along w/ your diet?
If you are hungry at 9:00 p.m. after eating a healthy dinner...try increasing your caloric intake @ dinnertime. Increase your protein portion...this might help curb the late night appetite. You could also eat a salad w/ every dinner....although salads have a lot of empty calories that will only fill you up temporarily....if you like the salad idea...add some sliced turkey to the top of the salad in place of a fatty dressing.

snack ideas: yogurt w/ chopped bannas/100 cal. bag of popcorn/1 cup whipped skim milk (you can add a little cocoa, and it will taste like choc. mousse)/ not sugar added oatmeal w/ chopped fruit.

If you exercise...you can increase your caloric intake....if you can eat more...you will be less likely to fall off the diet wagon. Don't starve yourself either...your body needs energy(Kcalories) to lose weight. If you drastically drop your calories...your body will slow down your metabolism to conserve energy...not good.

Good luck to you

If Apples are low to no calorie--then why does my diet limit it to 1 only apple of 2 inches in diameter?

And if Pfizer (the name of company that wrote the diet) wasn't aware of it..try finding 2 inch apples in your local store.

Is it for diabetes? Apples do have a lot of natural sugars in them so that could throw things off. Maybe Celery?

You've nailed it. Title of Diet..."Take Control of Your Diabetes". (But my doctor said last year I wasn't diabetic).
